B. Tech

The candidates (Who are eligible as per eligibility criteria laid by West Bengal Board of Examination) having valid rank in WBJEE & AIEEE are to appear in counseling by Central Selection Committee for collection of allotment letter based on which admission in 1st Year allowed in this B.Tech programme.
Admissions in 2nd Year- JELET Qualified candidates who have valid allotment order of Central Selection Committee are admitted in 2nd Year of B.Tech programme.

Eligibility Criteria:

Both JEM and AIEEE merit listed candidates shall have to adhere to the cut-off marks in qualifying examination (10+2) i.e., at least 45% (40% for Reserved Category candidates) marks in aggregates with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics for Engineering, being compulsory subjects with pass marks in each of those individual subjects (as per AICTE Norms) and pass marks (30%) in English.

M.TECH
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ADMISSION IN M.Tech

Procedure: CANDIDATES (WHO ARE ELIGIBLE AS PER PROVISION LAID DOWN HEREUNDER) ARE TO APPEAR IN ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO POST-GRADUATE COURSES IN NGINEERING IN WBUT IN-HOUSE AND COLLEGES AFFLIATED TO WBUT (PGET-2011).

M. Tech in Computer Science And Engineering

Eligibility Criteria :

• 1st Class in B.Tech in CSE / IT or Master’s degree Computer Applications (MCA)/ Computer Sc./ Mathematics with Computer Sc. Specialization

M. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering

Eligibility Criteria :

• 1st Class in B.E/B.Tech in ECE / AEIE /Instrumentation or M.Sc in Electronics / Physics (specialization in electronics) or equivalent.

M. Tech in Bio-Technology

Eligibility Criteria :

• B.Tech / B.E. in Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering / Biochemical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering / Industrial Biotechnology / Leather technology / Chemical technology (Food / Pharma)

• M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry / Microbiology, Genetics, Biophysics / Microbial Genetics & Bioinformatics / Bioengineering.

M.B.A.

Admissions are made through MAT/ WB-JEMAT (conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination) qualifiers. The candidate has to present himself/herself at the college after qualifying the examination. Selections are made through GD/PI and on the basis of academic performance plus score obtained at MAT/WB-JEMAT examination. Final year candidates who have appeared for the above examination and awaiting their graduation results can also apply. However, such candidates have to produce their mark sheets and relevant documents before their admission to the institute.

Eligibility Criteria:Graduation in any discipline under (10+2+3) with 50% marks.
The candidate must present himself / herself for admission at the Institute, within 3 days of counseling/allotment (in case of WB-JEMAT) or else allotment of the candidate will stand null and void.

MCA

Admissions are made through an Entrance Examination (JECA) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board and on the basis of allotment made by Central Selection Committee (E&T). There is a provision of up to 10% seats to be filled up through Management Quota.

EligibilityCriteria: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under (10+2+3) system with Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION

•	CSC-ET/WB-JEMAT Offer Letter given during joint counseling, as applicable
•	WBJEE/AIEEE/MAT/WB-JEMAT Rank Card, as applicable
•	Admit Card of WBJEE/AIEEE in original
•	Original Mark Sheet of Higher Secondary (10+2 standards) or equivalent examination for verification of the marks.
•	Attested Xerox copies of marks sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent examination and HS or equivalent examination.
•	Proof of date of birth (Original Admit Card / Certificate of Madhyamik (10th standards) or equivalent examination or Birth Certificate from competent authority for verification of age.)
•	In case of SC / ST / PC candidates of the State of West Bengal, original SC / ST / PC Certificates issued by the competent authority for verification.
•	Migration certificate, if already registered at any university other than West Bengal University of Technology.
•	Five Stamp size colour photographs.
•	Filled-in-Application Form for admission.
•	Demand Draft of amount as indicated under Fee structure (Plus Hostel charges, if applying for hostel accommodation) drawn in favour of respective institutes payable at Durgapur.
•	Medical fitness and eye-examination certificates in the prescribed form.
•	Attested Xerox copies of all testimonials for the purpose of admission.
•	Special Note: Fees once paid is not refundable under any circumstances. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Civil and Sessions Court, Durgapur.
